ALL OF EUROPE THROUGH GERMANY, INCREASING ITS TURNOVER BY 100 PERCENT IN 2016
COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS YEAR. THE FIRM NOW WANTS TO SET UP A COMPANY IN THE
UNITED STATES AND GROW IN ONLINE RETAIL SALES.
BURSA - Auto accessories manufacturer Omtec Otomotiv is pushing
the European market with its online retail company Omac GMBH, based in Germany.

and online sales channels, the aim is to become an 'online retail giant'. Hüseyin
Bağcı, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Omtec Otomotiv, a manufacturer of
chrome, aluminum, carbon and leather auto accessories, said that they have
began selling products to all European countries through the Omac GMBH company
they established in Germany with an online retail focus. "Omac GMBH's
turnover increased by 100 percent last year. Since our existing 600 square
meter warehouse does not match with our needs, we have invested an additional
2000 square meters of storage. This year, we predict a %50 increase in
turnover. Online sales have become Europe's rising trend. We entered such a
formation with the goal of taking a share of this market. We have become
sending products from Germany to all European countries. We have grown even
more in our existing customers." Emphasizing that their goal is to become
a retail giant in online sales, Bağcı said that Omtec Otomotiv supplies product
groups as well as other parts that are in demand and sells them online. Bağcı
also said that after reaching the density they want in Germany, their goal is
to create companies in America and grow in online retail sales.
CARBON FIBER WILL INCREASE PRODUCTION BY 10 TIMES
Talking about investment plans, Bağcı said that they are
preparing for additional plant investment because the facilities in Demirtas
Organized Industrial Zone with a closed area of 7,500 square meters do not meet
the need. "This is the only obstacle to our growth," Bağcı said,
"We have a land investment where we can make 20,000 square meters of closed
space. In the second half of the year, we aim to lay the foundation for the
first stage of 10 thousand square meters. Here, our estimated investment
amount, excluding land, will amount to 10 million liras. Then we will start the
second round." Bağcı stated that with the introduction of the additional
plant, production of 250-300 unit per day in the aluminum group will double,
stressing that they will capture the real growth in the carbon fiber product
group. "There are no other companies in Turkey that can make products with
the simpliness that the end consumer can wear in carbon fiber", Bağcı
claimed, "With the additional plant investment, our production in the
carbon fiber group, which is currently 50-60 pieces per day, will increase 10
times. We have enough know-how in this area. We make finished products such as
front blinds, door handles and glass slats for various vehicle
groups."
ACTIVELY EXPORTS TO 38 COUNTRIES
Bağcı stated that as Omtec Otomotiv, they increased their export rates from 55 percent in 2015 to 65 percent last year. We focused on growth in our existing customers such as UK, Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands. We have parts in vehicles such as Volkswagen Group, BMW, AUDI, Mercedes. We're projecting for Mercedes Citan and Vito right now. We are producing in Turkey." Bağcı said that they predicted a 25 percent increase in exports this year. Omtec product is sold approximately every 80 seconds. We have a goal of becoming a global player." Bağcı stated that they do not sell products to after markets in Turkey; Tofaş said that they work mainly on projects with companies such as Renault and Nissan.
