Bağcı said that Omtec, which serves Renault, Tofaş, Ford, Hyundai and Nissan in the country, made an OEM expansion abroad by supplying products to Mercedes Citan through a partner company last year. Stating that the export rates, which were 40 percent in total production in 2012, increased to 50 percent in 2013 and 60 percent last year, Bağcı said, "We are growing with an export focus. Our targeted export rate is 65-70 percent. Our main market countries include Germany, England. "Last year, we gained new customers in America, Australia, China and Japan," he said.
Investment spurt for technology-oriented production
Explaining that the current facilities in the Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone do not meet the needs and that they have put a second facility investment on the agenda in order to serve the defense industry as well as the automotive industry, Bağcı said, "We took action for a 7 thousand square meter closed area.
